Creating value for society

As the country’s largest employers’ organisation, we build bridges to a sustainable society based on a sound economy that ensures equal opportunities for all. We firmly believe that Belgium can become the most prosperous country in the world if we take action together on behalf of our society. By together, we mean together with our members: more than 40 sectoral federations. A single voice speaking on behalf of more than 50,000 companies from the three regions of Belgium, accounting for more than 75% of employment in the private sector. But also together with governments, politicians, investors and all our country’s citizens. After all, the challenges facing Belgium are so great that no one can tackle them on their own.

A sound economy is based on values such as sustainable development, social well-being, good governance, ethics, consultation… and common sense. Thanks to the added value that we all create today, we can secure the future for our children. By doing so, we leverage the interests of companies to promote prosperity for all, for society as a whole. That is the role we play and the shared responsibility we assume as an employers’ organisation on behalf of a sustainable Belgium with equal opportunities and sufficient economic growth that enables wide-ranging prosperity.
