Sustainable digitalisation and digital sustainability

Thursday 6 May

The ecological and digital transitions lie at the heart of the European Green Deal and recovery plans. How can these two transitions be intelligently reconciled? How can digitalisation accelerate sustainability? How can we ensure sustainable digitalisation? What are the opportunities and challenges posed by digital sustainability?

These are just some of the questions to which the Belgian experts at our webinar will give informed answers, drawing on their own experience!

The interaction between these subjects lies at the heart of FEB's new mission of ‘CREATING VALUE FOR SOCIETY: a vision enabling us to approach the world we live in today. Digitalisation, the basis of so many innovations, has become essential to our economy. But a strong economy only generates sustainable progress when it respects social and environmental values. Together they drive change, which is a vector for greater prosperity for all.

This interdisciplinary webinar is brought to you by the Sustainability & Circular economy and Digital economy & Innovation competence centres, coinciding with the first anniversary of their creation.

It will be held on 6 May 2021 (4 p.m.- 5.30 p.m.) and will bring together various Belgian experts who will contribute their experience and expertise to a discussion and exploration of the topic of sustainable digitalisation and digital sustainability – issues that every business will have to address.
