Formerly known as the Belgian Association of Pension Institutions, PensioPlus is the umbrella organisation for institutions for occupational retirement provision (IORPs) – also known as pension funds – and organisers of supplementary sectoral pension plans. Companies that organize activities or provide services within the framework of the 2nd pillar are also welcome as associate members.
The members of PensioPlus are involved in the context of the supplementary pensions of the 2nd pillar. These are pensions resulting from a joint pension scheme linked to an economic activity and organised by a company, group of companies, sector or public institution to benefit workers, self-employed persons or contracted public-sector employees. Full members of PensioPlus represent more than 2 million affiliates.
PensioPlus emphasizes the importance of the 2nd pillar and promotes it actively and permanently in order to achieve a better and more adequate pension for everyone. In this context, the association’s slogan “Smarter together for better pensions” takes on its full meaning as a true members’ association that strives, together with all its stakeholders, to find the best solution for all concerned parties.
