Over 50 leading sectoral federations currently benefit from the authority, reputation and experience of Belgium’s employer organisation. FEB is currently the only representative of Belgium’s small, medium and large companies to have any clout at both federal and European level. How to join?
Full members have a direct say, via the board of directors, in determining employer strategy. All major social and economic issues in the broad sense of the term are covered.
Members may participate in committees and working groups of their choice, depending on their specific interests. This means that they:
- receive first-rate information on ongoing legislative, regulatory and contractual developments;
- can have items of particular interest to them placed on the agenda;
- help to define the employer position on issues that fall within the purview of the committee or the working group.
In addition, full FEB members have access to FEB’s political and/or technical expertise and may also seek support from the organisation’s specialists.
Owing to its position on the management committees of many public bodies, such as the Belgian National Social Security Office (NSSO), FEB is the best-placed stakeholder to act in the interests of its members in the event of a dispute.
Exclusive first-hand information
Membership gives you access to exclusive and extremely valuable information:
- First-hand technical information through circulars and briefings exclusive to FEB members.
- Direct access to FEB-extranet, an interactive communication platform where you can find all FEB documents, reports and files linked to current issues of interest to companies.
- Free subscriptions to various FEB publications (e.g. IMPACT, our weekly newsletter, topic-specific brochures, briefings, booklets).
Of course, members are invited to events organised by FEB, such as information meetings, colloquiums and meetings with national authorities or foreign authorities passing through Belgium. Examples include the FEB Forum, the Government-Business Meeting and many other business-related events.
A one-of-a-kind social network
Membership significantly boosts your networking potential. You will enjoy a social network forged by FEB that brings together ministerial departments, government authorities, public institutions and embassies. Although it deals only with intersectoral issues, FEB may assist members in their own activities, particularly by establishing contacts and opening the right doors.
As FEB is represented in more than 120 national and international public bodies, it can make industry’s voice heard on issues of specific interest to its members within those bodies.
A conference centre in the heart of Brussels
Joining FEB gives you access to FEB’s facilities in central Brussels.
For example, you can rent FEB’s infrastructure and equipment (at special conditions and subject to availability) for use as a conference centre (e.g. meeting rooms, function rooms) and harness its logistics resources (media service) when organising press conferences.
