BRIEC – Einstein Telescope – Information and Business opportunities

Einstein Telescope – Information and Business opportunities

Have you heard about the underground Einstein Telescope, Europe’s most advanced gravitational wave observatory? It’s an amazing tool that will enable researchers to hear black holes collide and learn about the early universe. Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany are jointly studying whether they can host this world-class observatory in the border area between the three countries. The decision will be made in 2025.

For businesses, various projects and programmes have been set up to encourage innovation in and the accelerated development of new technologies for the Einstein Telescope. Sharing these innovations and the opportunities they offer is important – including across sectors.

This is the mission of the Belgian Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community, or BRIEC (https://briec.be/), which FEB established in 2018 to break down barriers and foster inspiration between the academic and business worlds, between small and large companies, and between Belgium’s three regions.

BRIEC sessions are high-end networking events where attendees discuss a number of innovation cases focusing on a particular theme. On Thursday 29 February we will zoom in on the innovation and business opportunities presented by the Einstein Telescope(*).

We would like to invite you to attend this fascinating event with us. Early birds can register today!

We hope to see you there and we wish you all the best for an excellent 2024 full of extraordinary discoveries.
